Last weekend, I ventured up north to Boston to surprise my buddies at Harvard and BU. The first night, we attempted to throw a rager at some office/apartment complex, so I whiped out my apc40, my studio monitors, and set up a nice little workstation. Not knowing, how receptive they would be to my terrorist ways, I decided to lure them in with a funky/ nu disco set and then smack em in the face with Harvard Bass. After I got them grooving with some Ducksauce and A-trak renditions, I was just about to melt there face as Boston Police walked in and pulled the plug. With our party shut down due to excessive terrorizing (cambridge standards), we were left with the “pudding”. I feel terrible for the lack of sweaty dance floors in cambridge. With one night spent in cambridge, I decided to venture across the river and see how BU kids rage. To my surprise, I found a pack of party animals. We ended up going to some bar, where there was this guy djing using Serato and although he still hadn’t mastered the art of beatmatching, he had mastered the art of spining one cdj and pressing play on the other (yea real tough stuff). Anyways, with tequila running through our veins we all morphed into super dancers and claimed half the dance floor challenging everyone to dance-offs.

The next day was what truly separated Vacayers from non-Vacayers. Many would not answer the call at 9 in the morning to play “1″ game of pong. But Vacay was in full force as we gathered enough Vacayers to play 3 games of Century pong back to back to back after a night of heavy boozing. The Vacay gods rewarded us for our endurance and dedication by guiding us to a KiD CuDi & Wale concert and getting us in for free. This should be a lesson for you non-Vacayers. Next time your friend walks into your bedroom at 9 am saying that he has a problem because it takes 4 to play pong and they only have 3, you let him know that’s not a problem.
