Hope all of your weekends were swell. I blacked out pretty hard Saturday night and Sunday morning was totally NOT Vacay. Luckily I had a mailbox full of vitamins to cure my ails. Lots of good ones this week, so I hope you have some time on your hands.
Vitamin #1:
In June a new group by the name of King Fantastic is dropping their debut album entitled Finger Snaps and Gun Claps. We got a little taste of that action this week and I’m liking it. I’m excited to have a new rap addiction for the summer. Smooth flow, tight beats, and some serious electro influence; what more could Vacay Nation ask for?
- King Fantastic - Lost Art of Killing
- The Glitch Mob - Drive It Like You Stole It (King Fantastic Remix)
Vitamin #2:
This next one is heavy. You might want to stand up before hitting play.
Vitmain #3:
I have yet another example of a song I can’t stand getting the shit dubbed out of it to make it not only tolerable, but pretty sweet. Dubstep is the best thing to ever happen to music. Also, Gucci Mane is retarded and hilarious.
Vitamin #4:
Next I’ll give you your fist pumping uhn-tiss-uhn-tiss vitamins. This one is catchy, but I have to say it gets a bit repetitive for me. Regardless, check out what Semi Precious Weapons left in my mailbox.
Vitamins #5:
This week I saved the best for last. Dylan Elland a.k.a. Le Castle Vania has been killing the scene out of Atlanta for a while now. I got their new Bulletproof Tiger Mixtape in my mailbox, but I’m instead going to share with you what I discovered on lecastlevania.com, some funky bangers from Elland’s side project called Lies in Disguise. Expect a post on Le Castle Vania in the near future, but for now enjoy these Vacay-approved tracks:
- Lies in Disguise - Meet Your Replacement
- Shinichi Osawa - Electro411 (Lies in Disguise Remix)
- The Toxic Avenger - Poker Face (Lies in Disguise Remix)
- Party Shank - Penis vs. Vagina (Lies in Disguise Remix)
Hope you guys enjoyed this weeks mailbag. We’re getting more and more submissions every week, so expect more of this madness in the future.
