Subject: Mailbag Monday #4
Hey A-Team. It’s Monday, meaning its time to bring the rain, the pain, and the insane. Without further ado, I bring you our fourth installment of everyone’s favorite mailbag.
Vitamin #1:
Figured I’d warm you up with a gentler track this week. Keep in mind, this is no gentle track, it’s just relatively gentle. Anyway, its a new Streetlab drop and I think the build up in the beginning may be one of my favorite beat piecing togethers of all time. Just a real groovy song, good for driving with the windows down and knowing that you’re cooler than everyone else on the road.
Vitamin #2:
Here’s a track from one dude named Killa:Bit not to be confused with the group Killabits. He took good songs and made them gooder. He sent us a few tracks worth listening to. I tossed a coin, so DnB gets to go first, then Dubstep. Sorry Dubstep.
- Florence & the Machine - Dog Days (Killabit DnB Remix)
- B. Rich - Make Me Dance (Killabit Dubstep Remix)
Vitamin #3:
Next up is some old-school jump around the club and forget your manners shit: more remixes from the 2000. Turn the bass UP.
Vitamin #4:
Just to show you how picky I am when it comes to making it into my mailbag post, Kidnasia sent me two tracks, but I’m only posting one because I didn’t really like the other one. The one I am sharing was picked because it has a smooth flow to the song. The whole track progresses from nice and calm breakdowns to steady heavy beats and then to all out synthesized chaos. Enjoy the ride.
Vitamin #5:
Anyone else craving some firey latin percussion? Me too…
Vitamin #6:
Your sixth dose is an important one this week. It has 500% of your daily Vitamin B(ass). Good luck trying not to move to this one. Oddly enough, I had trouble finding a copy of the original song by Delphic, so I’ll just assume this remix is way better.
Vitamin #7:
So in the last mailbag you were prescribed a single dose of Subvader. I knew the vitamins were fresh, but I was unaware how fresh they really were. Apparently this mailbag thing really does work, because VacayVitamins was the first site to EVER publish his track. Normally that would mean we just like shitty music that nobody else liked, but this week Subvader sent me a copy of his brand new EP entitled ‘Arctica’ to back up his shit and its goooooood. Its a Dubstep wobble with a hip-hop feel to it. If you know anything about my music taste, he’s got me pegged. Hope you guys enjoy Subvader’s debut EP as much as I did. My personal favorite is ‘Pouncer’, but I’ll let you guys make up your own mind. He’s open to suggestions, so if you guys have any thoughts throw them down as a side effect.
Taken in the proper doses (all day every day) these vitamins should hold you over at least until next Monday. If not, consult the terrorist for some bonus vitamins.
