Mega-Mailbag (Too Much – Too Many)

So I haven’t published a Mailbag for about a zillion years, and for that I apologize. I would claim I’ve been busy, but that would be lying. I owe you a good one, so here we go. Sorry If some of these track are a touch old, I’ve been building up for a while…

Vitamin #1:

In honor of the ridiculous goals I saw the Netherlands score in their pretty convincing win over Uruguay, I’m starting off with a little of that dirty dutch. Don’t know who dropped me these Disco Killah tracks, but whoever it is knows what I like. I’ve got one original and two spicy remixes from them.

Vitamin #2:

Yum. Duck Sauce. Has there ever been this much hype for one track?

Vitamin #3:

I’ve got a couple more from Cory Blake. The first one also has a bit of funk to it, but the second one is a bit, um, heavier.

Vitamin #4:

Got a sprinkling of Vodka & Milk remixes in the dropbox. A bunch of pretty bomb rap remixes, but here are my favorites.

Vitamin #5:

This one is a mystery. It came in my dropbox, but it has no artist name? Anyone know who this is?

Vitamin #6:

The next vitamin I’ve got for you has high doses of both forms of Vitamin D, Vitamin D(utch) and Vitamin D(ub). Gotta love when an artist pulls of more than one genre successfully. Also, DMX remixes need to happen way more often.

Vitamin #7:

True story, earlier today I was listening to this song and my mom asked who it was by. I told her, and she got really upset with me. I’m glad she didn’t ask me the name of the song.

• Fukkk Off - Bloodfuck

Vitamin #8:

I’m not usually one for “pretty” but this one does it for me. This is a great song. If it feels a bit weak for you, wait until about 1:40 and it picks up a bit. I’m not sure how I feel about the rapping, a bit too auto-tuney for me.

• Passion Pit - Little Secrets (Plus Move Remix feat. Future Kiddd)

Vitamin #9:

Sweet song with an old school feel to it. As far as I know, Patrick Lee is pretty under the radar. Visit his Myspace to check out more (http://www.myspace.com/patlee).

Vitamin #10:

Here’s a pretty fat beat from Iowa’s Jesse Conklin a.k.a. The Juke Bottle Casino that’s  just begging for a hip-hop remix. Its got a relaxed feel to it, not unlike a Zion I track, but it could seriously use some lyrics.

Vitamin #11:

Back to ze dirty dutch; this time some magic from Toronto. Get Gooooofffeeeeee.

Vitamin #12:

Up next is a fantastic example of vocal manipulation. The original of this tune by Graffiti6 is pretty mediocre stuff, but this Reset! remix has some catchy parts to it that were manufactured with little help from Grafitti6. Although it’s Italian, this tune would likely make it out of group play.

Vitamin #15:

These guys are interesting. I’m not sure what to think about them. Their sound is so different it might take a bit of getting used to, so let me know what you all decide.

Vitamin #16:

A pretty full sound to this one. It puts your stereo to work f’sho. This is a fun one to drive to if you have a nice system in your car.

Vitamin #17:

I’ll leave you with a fairly epic dubstep remix from Ashes of Giant’s Drumstick.
