You’re probably reading this and thinking to yourself, wtf electro house/dubstep does NOT = Pendulum. Well I may be new to Vacay, but I am no nOOb. Indeed, Pendulum’s new album Immersion incorporates songs that fall under house, dubstep, and even heavy metal!
Pendulum’s housey sounding track, The Island, is a two part song: dawn and dusk. Dawn has a catchy melody coupled with Rob Swire’s smooth lyrical vocals. In Part 2, Dusk, we are re-introduced to the melody, but things get more funky and crazy.
In Set Me On Fire, Pendulum harnesses the wobble and wrecks shit.
