The Smörgåsbord! Part Deux

It has been far too long and for that, I blame no one but myself. I hope that you can forgive me. I have been doing a lot of traveling after finishing my job at the beginning of July and due to this, I have been slightly out of the picture. But do not fear, for I have returned and there should be some posts in the near future about some of my adventures. In the mean time, please enjoy this smörgåsbord of songs.

I’ve seen Crystal Castles once and they were alright. Not the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen but not bad. That’s probably why I wasn’t overly excited when the new album came out but I actually enjoy some of the songs. Here’s one of my favorites.

  • Crystal Castles - Pap Smear

Chromeo has pretty much been doing the same thing for the past few years and I am no where close to getting old of it. They continue to put out the sexiest baby making music in recent memory and I absolutely love it.

  • Chromeo - Don't Turn the Lights On

This one came up recently when I was raging in the car with Terror. Oldie but definitely a goodie.

  • Buy Now - Body Crash

Editors Bonus
MSTRKRFT’s JFK does a nice little edit adding onto the epicness of the original

  • Buy Now - Body Crash (JFK Edit)

92 Eternal (Juiceboxx, AC Slater and Amy Douglas) put out a pretty nice one with “The Feeling”. I’ve heard some of Juiceboxx’s other stuff and it’s pretty good, although definitely not anything like 92 Eternal. I think AC Slater helped to round this trio out and put out a pretty nice chune.

  • 92 Eternal - The Feeling
  • 92 Eternal - The Feeling (Udachi Remix)

For some reason this song gets me hyped like many others do not.  It’s a pretty awesome song, as long as you don’t over it play it a million times (Kurz).  N.A.S.A. needs to put out more stuff. A lot more stuff. Also, if you haven’t heard their “Tanning on the Moon” mix, it’s incredible.

  • N.A.S.A. - N.A.S.A. Music (LA Riots Remix)

Someone I used to DJ with at a bar showed me this guy and I had never heard of him. Apparently he’s from Chicago and has a nice little following. If he continues to put out stuff like this I can imagine his little following turning into a large one.

  • DJ Bam Bam - Watch the Club Go

I’m a huge fan of the Presets (their music videos are usually pretty awesome as well).  Came across this one while working the other night and it definitely gets me moving.  Miami Horror on the remix makes it a great comho.

  • The Presets - Talk Like That (Miami Horror Remix)
