As you know, one of the main purposes of blogging is to help discover new talent. I’ve decided to take that process forward by hosting an unofficial remix contest for all you budding DJ’s out there.
Before we start, I have to emphasise that this is not an official contest, and it is purely being run by Vacay Wave and not the artists whose music we’ve included. As with any contest, there is a prize. That prize is the remix/es which I judge to be the best of each track will be featured on the site, leading to excellent exposure for the remixer. As this competition isn’t official I have not got the parts for each track, so it’s more of a bootleg competition. Don’t let that put you off however, as many of todays best remixers do all there work without stems, such as LightsoverLA. Before entering, please read the following rules.

• 1) Entrants must send a full mp3 of their remix to superfresh@gmx.us no later than August 11.
• 2) The winner for each track will be the remix I personally judge to be the best. If I am struggling to decide I may post more than one track.
• 3) All email subjects should read: ‘VACAY WAVE REMIX CONTEST – NAME OF SONG – NAME OF REMIXER’.
• 4) Entries can not be withdrawn.
• 5) The songs can be of any genre.
• 6) Producers can enter remixes for as many of the tracks as they wish to.
• 7) The contest is open to anyone, and all entries will be listened to and judged impartially.
