The Monarch Of Vacay

Monarchy (and The Aspirins for My Children) epitomize that transitional moment of a night. Do you hold back, or do you throw your gold, body and soul in the fire – as well as your mind? It’s an important decision because if you think too hard, you’re likely to rationalize reason and refrain from the unrestrained things we do that transform real life into Vacay.

If I ever put a moment of thought into the direction my night may take, I would no doubt have made countless fewer bad decisions. Very few of those decisions, however, have had lasting consequences (some have, but life goes on), and I also would have had far less fun, far fewer stories to tell and far less time spent making (semi-)memorable memories with my best friends. For better or for worse, it’s become less of a question than an instinct.
