You read that right folks, you heard it here first! If the recently posted dates on Wolfgang’s MySpace page are to believed (and I would think they are), then we can look forward to a performance at Mansion on March 23rd as well as a Friday slot at Ultra! He will also be appearing that night at Karu & Y’s “One Night Only” event, alongside a festival-worthy lineup of diverse talent including AC Slater, MSTRKRFT, Victor Calderone, Robbie Rivera, LA Riots, Klever, Dada Life, and over 40 other DJs and artists. I found my Friday night!

In the mean time, get psyched by jamming this new tune by Woflgang himself entitled “Undertaker”. It’s as-yet-unreleased, so I apologize for the low quality. I threw in some extra goodies to make up for it

Update 2/14/10 : This guy is just absolutely incredible. Last night I had the luxury of spending the hours from 2-6 am not sleeping, but raging to some of the most captivating music I’ve heard in a while. Wolfgang Gartner has a way of engaging the crowd in which you really do feel a connection to the beats. Throughout the set I heard loud ass base when I wanted to go nuts, great vocal tracks including the Yeah Yeah Yeahs heads will roll, and some nice soothing house-trance beats when my brain, ears, and body needed a quick rest. He always played what the crowd wanted to hear. Gartner has more experience that most having been a DJ since the ripe age of 11 when he started out with a 4 track tape deck. He has been around the industry since its early days and his style and skill have evolved with it, always looking for new ways to improve, and that is why it is no surprise that we will see him at Ultra this coming March. An absolute must see.
