You know who I like who didn’t get a lot of play? Velma from Scooby-doo. That’s kinda how I feel about Breakbot. Okay, I mean… Breakbot is HUGE but, luckily Ed Banger just released his new single titled Shades Of Black, in their “Let The Children Techno” Compilation, so I can get away with another Breakbot post. This funky Frenchman broke onto the electro/nu-disco scene in 2006 with his stellar remix of Let There Be Light by Justice, and honestly that was just the tip of the iceberg. He produced his Happy Rabbits EP from Moshi Moshi Records in 2007 and then Ed Banger was smart enough to pick him up in 2009 and release his sensual Baby I’m Yours in 2010. I personally blame two baby scares on that song and I’m not pointing fingers but the world wide birth rate has tripled since its release…
Some of Breakbot’s best work can be seen in the 25 (that’s right 25) remixes he has released since 2006. When you consistently make remixes that outshine the original songs you know you have genius on your hands. Breakbot does not have a single shabby production, and kills it in every DJ Mix out.
