Sonik Fuckin’ Ninjas: Ninjasonik (Indie Hip Hop

These BK hipsters have been tearing it up and rapping over any and everything for awhile and finally got around to dropping their album ‘Art School Girls’ in April (bonus points for the 4/20 release). Ninjasonik is composed of Telli (who raps), Jah Jah (who from what I can tell does some of everything), and Teenwolf (who ‘keeps the beat spinning’). I saw them live at a concert on the Connecticut River in NH and they brought an insane amount of energy. The crowd had dwindled slightly by the time they took the stage but they didn’t really seem to give a shit and killed it anyways. With their unique sound that has been classified as everything from Indie Dance to Punk and their ability to take a song like Matt & Kim’s ‘Daylight’ and make it their own, they are sure to continue turning heads. Make sure to check out their music videos as well to see the crazy energy they bring to their shows. And props to my boy Pollack for booking these guys for Riverfest.
